“Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside of them was superior to circumstances.” – Bruce Barton –
I feel amazing, but my external world hasn’t quite caught up yet. Having a similar experience?
Today I will share with you Part I: Trusting the feeling despite your circumstance.
Tomorrow, I will share with you Part II: 7 Steps to help guide you through the process.
I desire freedom and I honestly believe we all do.
Over the past few weeks, I have been diving deeper, shifting out the old and making room for the new. It is exciting, exhilarating, liberating and also been scary as bat crap many times.
How do I trust this feeling within that I am exactly where I need to be, everything is working out perfectly and it is already a done deal…while the results, the proof and the story has not yet aligned in my external world?
Some may say, what is freedom anyway? What about reality? What about our ‘real lives’? I’ve got rent to pay!
So what do I mean by freedom?
Freedom is a feeling we have from within.
Freedom is the experience of non-resistance.
Freedom is light, open, expansiveness and the feeling of fulfillment; wholehearted love.
Change, transformation & creation are inside-out processes. Even Dr Wayne Dyer says so; “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”.
So in order to attain that loving relationship, dream career, flowing bank account and slim, healthy bod; we must go within.
Dive deep, heart first, into our feelings, carving out the old and limiting so that we create space for the new and infinite.
Once we do, our external worlds shift and align accordingly.
Freedom has many elements, including;
Freedom from; suffering, pain, 9-5 workload…
Freedom to; love, travel, write, speak, paint…
However, like anything, the notion of freedom is masked by our ego (designed to keep us small and keep our identity to stay alive) and therefore gets lost amongst the creation and attachment to our external world; all in the form of our ‘identity’, ‘stories’ and most cleverly in our ‘desires & goals”.
Do these desires sound familiar to you?
‘Falling in love with our soul mate’
Free from; all the pain and heartache of dating the ones we use to settle for, not feeling good enough, worthy enough, loved enough
Free to; feel a depth of love, affection and companionship like never before
‘Landing our dream job/working for ourselves’
Free from; being stuck in a job that we hate, working for others, working for less than we deserve
Free to; earn money from doing something we absolutely love, our own rules, our own time, our own creative expression and gift out there in the world.
‘Loosing weight and having our ideal body’
Free from; emotional eating, starving, dieting, guilt, pain, comparison
Free to; feel amazing, light, energetic, beautiful, goddess like
Free from; pain, our darkness, suffering, anger, frustration, resentment, regrets, bitterness
Free to; smile, laugh, love, feel, be positive, joyful & grateful
Free from; doubt, pressure, low self worth, lack of purpose
Free to; feel proud, self assured, whole, safe, secure, confident
Free from; debt, worry, pain, hard work
Free to; have choices, options, peace, calm, safe, secure, confident.
The important thing about freedom is it is within you, available to you right here, right now in this moment. Life is not about waiting for your wedding day or your first six figure year to feel free, happy, loved, fulfilled and blissful.
Life is about feeling fabulous in every moment. Freedom to…and freedom from…are both cultivated from our feelings.
This may sound woo-woo, but it’s the truth. Take it or leave it. However, if you choose to go back to what you have always done, how do you expect things to change? As long as our happiness, wellbeing and sense of self worth and value are attached to our external world we will never truly be free or happy.
Stay tuned for Part II: 7 Steps to guide you through the process on the blog tomorrow. These steps are what I continue to practice to cultivate my desires in my life and ultimately live my best life from the inside-out.
Remember…to create the change you desire and to journey deeper to who you truly are; you are required to trust the feeling and continue to follow it.
And know that; “Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside of them was superior to circumstances.” – Bruce Barton –
